Modern-day life can be fast paced and frantic. Worrying about a myriad of things, such as relationships, money, career, studies, family, health, appearance, ageing, and the future - to name but a few - is now the norm. This impacts on health and vitality. It may age you by a decade beyond your chronological age. All too often, the time to rest, recharge and recuperate is dwarfed by the mountain of tasks that need to be done. Tiredness, exhaustion and burnout can easily set in, impacting on every aspect of your life. Personal well-being can start to slide down the pecking order as diet, exercise and your other needs are all too frequently brushed aside.

Poor diets are thought to be the largest contributor to early deaths. Being active and maintaining a normal weight could extend your life by over seven years. There is, however, little education or training given in these most fundamental of needs, and in addition, we are often bombarded with conflicting and confusing messages about what is deemed to be good for us.
