Description

Namco's primary success and longest running franchise is without a doubt Pac-Man.

Right from its original release back in 1980, the funky yellow blob has been host to some of the most fantastic gameplay in the history of video games.

Twenty years later, the Pac-Man series is set for yet another release across PC platforms with Pac-Man: Adventures in Time. The greatest asset to this millennial version of the game is the visual qualities.

Graphics are now presented in simple, but fantastic looking 3D worlds.

However, there is more than meets the eye in these wonderful Pac-worlds.

Each landscape is themed around many locations across the globe, most of which are hazardous.

For example, when you visit the volcano level, you will have to climb steep mountainsides, slowing your Pac-Man down considerably.

Also, you must travel across rooftops, elevate using lifts, and tackle numerous obstacles.

With all these features, it is highly surprising, yet highly satisfying that Hasbro have managed to retain the gameplay qualities of the Namco original. With a number of game modes, including maze and quest, Pac-Man: Adventures in Time has an awful lot to offer to both the hardcore and casual gamer.

A right laugh, this one; have fun!
