Description

The official blurb for Dave the Diver describes it as 'a casual, single-player adventure RPG featuring deep-sea exploration and fishing during the day and sushi restaurant management at night.' That's entirely true! But let's not forget that it also includes stealth, chunks that are almost visual novels, racing, farming, chases, rhythm action and business management. It sounds like a LOT, but everything is built out from the game's core loops so organically that it still feels like a charmingly simple game. So, by day you'll dive into the depths of the mysterious Blue Hole, and by night you'll serve up your catch of the day in a bid to keep your customers happy. But, you know, that Blue Hole IS pretty mysterious, and before long you're swept up in an adventure plot involving an underwater society under threat. 2D pixel art is the order of the day, and Dave the Diver's ever-changing underwater world is all the more beautiful for it. In theory you should be using your harpoon gun (or whatever other weaponry you've forged) to catch fish and engage in combat, but in practice the Blue Hole holds such delights that you'll spend a lot of time just swimming about, taking a look around. Everything is delivered with a cheerful, quirky style that combines with each new discovery to make Dave the Diver a real charmer of a game. On the game content front, this Collector's Edition includes the base game (naturally) plus DLCs including In the Jungle; Dredge; Godzilla; Ichiban's Holiday and a digital soundtrack. On top of that, you get a Bancho Sushi Restaurant acrylic standee; four metal pin badges; an acrylic keyring; a dolphin pendant necklace; two Marinca cards; a poster; and four postcards.
