Jones has contributed to newspapers, magazines, and news services in North America and Europe, including Islands, In Style, Reuters, Canadian Press, Associated Press, The Daily Mail and Cond Nast Publications, and is a correspondent for People magazine. She is also the author of Bermuda: Five Centuries, a coffee-table history of the island published in 2004.
As a native islander, Jones is acutely attuned to Bermuda's idiosyncrasies, history, social nuances, newest attractions, and insider secrets. Like all islanders, she grew up giving directions to visitors and helping them navigate left-side driving and Bermudian humor. Yet, like the infamous Bermuda onion, the island always offers more to be discovered. Jones's research for Moon gave her the perfect excuse to brush up on esoterica: like how to pour the perfect dark'n'stormy, when to go ghost-hunting at Victorian mansions, and the best way to treat jellyfish stings.
