A wonderfully rich and dazzling novel celebrating the people and places of post-war London. The main characters - all considered to be mentally disturbed by the medical profession - are able to hear the babbling voices from the heart of the city in their heads. A loving rhapsody dedicated to London itself in much the same way Ulysses was or Dublin.
