'We're Only in It for the Money' is the third studio album by American psychedelic rock band the Mothers of Invention, released in 1968. Like their debut album 'Freak Out' and succeeding album 'Lumpy Gravy', 'We're Only in It for the Money' is a concept album. It devotes its first half to left- and right-wing political satire, particularly Zappa's distaste of the hippie subculture, and its second half to presenting alternatives.
