Five films collected in a box set designed to appeal to the younger viewer. In 'Ice Age 2 - The Meltdown' (2006), Manny the woolly mammoth (voice of Ray Romano), Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo), Diego the saber-toothed tiger (Denis Leary), and the hapless prehistoric squirrel/rat known as Scrat (Chris Wedge) are back in this sequel to the popular 2002 film. Manny is ready to start a family, but nobody has seen another mammoth for a long time. In fact, Manny thinks he may be the last one. That is until he miraculously finds Ellie (Queen Latifah), the only female mammoth left in the world. The only problem being that they can't stand each other. Ellie comes with some excess baggage in the form of her two possum friends Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck), a couple of daredevil pranksters and cocky, loud-mouthed troublemakers. When a huge glacial dam holding off oceans of water is about to break, threatening the entire valley, the only chance of survival lies at the valley's other end. So our three heroes, along with Ellie, Crash and Eddie, form the most unlikely family as they embark on a mission across an ever-changing, increasingly dangerous landscape. 'Wallace and Gromit' progenitor Nick Park's first big screen outing, 'Chicken Run', is an animated pastiche of 'The Great Escape'. Life on Tweedy's Chicken Farm is far from pleasant for the inmates; they are badly treated by Mr Tweedy and his domineering wife, and kept alive only as long as they keep producing eggs. Ginger the hen's (voiced by Julia Sawalha) various attempts at escape have failed due to the lethargy and downright incompetence of her fellow prisoners, but when Rocky (Mel Gibson) - the famous Flying Rooster - crash lands in the farm, she sees the chance she has been waiting for: Rocky can teach everyone how to fly, and they can stage a mass break-out! However, the braggardly Rocky is not all that he seems; can he really help Ginger and the others find freedom before Mrs Tweedy (Miranda Richardson) hatches her fowl plan to turn them all into chicken pies? 'Robots' (2005) is an animated family comedy featuring the voices of Ewan McGregor, Robin Williams and Halle Berry. Rodney Copperbottom (McGregor) is a small town robot who has a gift for inventing things and a hope of moving beyond his quaint surroundings. He works side by side in a restaurant with his dad who is a dishwasher - literally a dishwasher. You open his chest and load in the dishes. Rodney has dreams of something greater. Armed with his unique talent for inventing, Rodney embarks on a journey to Robot City to meet his idol, the majestic inventor Bigweld (Mel Brooks). An iconic figure in all of Robot City, Bigweld has spent a lifetime creating things to make the lives of robots better. Once in Robot City, Rodney finds that things are not quite as he expected, and his quest may be a lot harder than he imagined. As he tries to navigate his way around this new city, Rodney befriends the Rusties, a ragtag group of street-smart bots who know the ropes. One of the Rusties, Fender (Williams), immediately becomes Rodney's best friend and even lets his spunky kid sister Piper Pinwheeler (Amanda Bynes) tag along. They take him in, and for now, at least, Rodney has a home in Robot City. Rodney also meets Cappy (Berry), an executive at Bigweld Industries who takes an instant liking to him and sees a lot of herself in him. Along their adventures, Rodney and his new friends encounter unsavoury characters who try to derail Rodney's plans to find Bigweld and save Robot City. 'Little Manhattan' (2005) is a romantic comedy starring Josh Hutcherson as Gabe, an 11-year-old boy living on the more exclusive side of New York City. His parents, Adam (Bradley Whitford) and Leslie (Cynthia Nixon), are splitting up, and as their marriage slowly crumbles, they've both become increasingly protective of their son. Meanwhile, Gabe finds his head turned by Rosemary (Charlie Ray), a cute girl in his karate class. He works up the nerve to ask Rosemary out on a date, and in time the two begin spending their spare time together. But just when Gabe feels ready to tackle the next step and tell Rosemary that he's in love with her, he learns that she'll be spending the summer away at camp, meaning he'll have to spend his vacation pining for her. As Gabe turns to Adam for advice, Adam begins taking another look at where his relationship with Leslie went sour. 'Two Brothers' (2004) is a family adventure telling the story of two tiger cubs born in the jungle in 1920s Indochina: one bold and fierce, the other shy and gentle. When notorious hunter Aidan McRory (Guy Pearce) kills their father, they are separated. The bold cub is sold to a circus where living in a cage robs him of his spirit, while the shy cub becomes the companion of the governor's lonely son - but the family are forced to give him away to a man who is intent on turning him into a prize-fighter. Years later the brothers meet again - but as forced enemies, pitted against each other in the ring. Will they ever return to their natural life in the jungle, where they can live in harmony as brothers once again?
