Description

Atomic Heart feels something like a seventh generation first-person shooter (think BioShock) upgraded for ninth generation hardware. Set in an alternate past where the Soviets started running the show, the game lands you in 1955 in what seems like a retro-futurist utopia. It's the eve of a massive upgrade to this world's robots that will allow humanity to control them with their minds. What could possibly go wrong? Everything, obviously. The robots revolt, and suddenly you're dealing with a machine uprising, terrifying mutants and a cast of characters that seems completely bonkers. Combat is fast-paced and revolves around a mix of melee, adaptable firearms and glove abilities such as telekinesis and throwing electricity around. They all come with an extensive skill tree, as well as the option to craft weapons out of parts scavenged from robots or household appliances, giving you a lot of choices in how you approach the game. This Ultimate Edition includes the base game along with a host of extra content, including the Labour & Science weapon skin pack, the Atomic Pass, The Golden Age skin pack, a digital artbook and a steelbook case.
