Muscles, Nerves and Movement is aimed at introducing students, particularly those with a limited scientific background, to a basic understanding of the way in which bones, joints, muscles and nerves allow the body to perform movement during daily activities. The text and illustrations are structured to enable the student to build up knowledge of the way in which the various components of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems contribute to the complexity of movements in everyday life and to predict the possible outcome of damage caused by disease or experience to provide a basic foundation knowledge of normal locomotor function which gives a thorough grounding in the subject to every student entering paramedical education.
