Collection of four classic musical features. In 'Meet Me in St. Louis' (1944) Esther (Judy Garland), the second eldest daughter of Alonzo (Leon Ames) and Anna Smith (Mary Astor), falls for her new next door neighbour, John Truitt (Tom Drake), and initially has difficulty winning his affections. When their romance begins to blossom however, Esther learns that Alonzo's employer is transferring him to New York where he plans to move the family. 'Calamity Jane' (1953) follows the life of the eponymous heroine who would rather hit targets than chase men - until she falls for Wild Bill Hickok (Howard Keel), who would rather shoot Indians than chase after a tomboy like Calamity Jane (Doris Day). In 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' (1954) Adam Pontabee (Keel) is a recently married rancher who brings his bride Milly (Jane Powell) back to live on the ranch with him and his six unruly brothers. Shocked at their bad manners, Milly begins to coach the boys in the ways of polite society and accidentally gives them the idea of kidnapping six eligible young ladies for the purposes of marriage. Finally, 'High Society' (1956) follows socialite Tracy Lord (Grace Kelly) who, even as she prepares for her second marriage, still has obvious feelings for her ex-husband (Bing Crosby). She also strikes up a friendship with a reporter (Frank Sinatra) who has been sent to cover her society wedding.
