Description

David Power has been playing the uileann pipes since he was a boy, and his experience shines through on this his first album. Inspired by older local players such as his teachers Tommy Kearney and Jimmy O'Brien-Moran, David listened avidly to the music of Seamus Ennis, Leo Rowsome and Felix Doran. Wisely he waited for his music to mature before committing himself to publication. On a selection of dance tunes and song airs, he uses the instrument to its full capacity, accompanied only by his drones and regulators.
