Description

All nine episodes of the 1970s historical drama series following the life and loves of Napoleon Bonaparte (Ian Holm). An unemployed general at the age of 25, Napoleon falls for the charms of Desiree Clary (Karen Dotrice), but is deemed unsuitable by her wealthy parents. Relocating to Paris, Napoleon's career flourishes, and, along with new found wealth and prestige, he soon finds himself in the orbit of a certain Josephine Beauharnais (Billie Whitelaw). Episodes comprise: 'Rose', 'Josephine', 'Pauline', 'Georgina', 'Eleonore', 'Maria Walewska', 'Maria Luisa', 'Louise' and 'The End of Love'.
