Isao Natsuyagi stars in this double bill of Japanese action dramas directed by Hideo Gosha. In 'Samurai Wolf' (1966) wandering samurai Kiba Okaminosuke (Natsuyagi) meets Chise (Junko Miyazono), who seeks his help with transporting a large amount of currency safely from her waystation to the next one. However, others seek to steal the gold and Kiba must thwart their plans and rid the area of corruption, whilst also contending with his growing feelings for Chise. In 'Samurai Wolf II' (1967), after Kiba rescues Oteru (Rumiko Fuji) from a group of swordfighters, he becomes embroiled in a larger scheme involving an imprisoned ronin, a gold mine guarded by bandits and a dojo master seeking glory. As Kiba is haunted by memories of his father, he comes into conflict with multiple adversaries driven by greed and a relentless desire for revenge.
