Using the provided software you can find people to play against and talk to all over the world. The computer provides a good single-player experience, but NBA Live is best played against someone else. Added Internet functionality is a welcome addition. The presentation and delivery of NBA Live 2001 is top notch, no other basketball game comes as close to capturing the atmosphere of a real basketball match. The intro sequences have been improved and help you get into the game. If your PC is up to it, 2001 is like a moving work of art. You can recognise players just by looking at them, the bench and crowd can be highly animated and the stadiums look exactly like their real life counterparts. Kevin Garnett even provided the motion capture routines that have been implemented in the game. Motion capture means realistic animation and high-resolution graphics equal visual treat. NBA Live is a highly playable game. Once you learn the control method you'll be faking, pick and rolling, behind the backing, 360 degree slam-dunking, alley ooping and generally rubbing your opponents nose in the shame of defeat.
