Description

The game follows directly on from Trails through Daybreak II, with the nation of Calvard attempting humanity's first manned spaceflight, under the suitably science fictional name Project Startaker. What follows is a sci-fi romp full of mystery and intrigue. It rewards previous fans of the series, splitting its 70-ish hour campaign between Rean Schwarzer (Trails of Cold Steel saga); Kevin Graham (Trails in the Sky the 3rd) and Van Arkride (Trails through Daybreak), adding further depth, scope and texture to the epic Trails mythos. As well as taking the Trails story in epic new directions, Trails beyond the Horizon introduces new mechanics like Shard Commands, Awakening, and the time-freezing Z.O.C. to further evolve the series' combination of action and turn-based combat. This is the 20th anniversary entry into the Trails series, taking it into its final phase. In other words, it's a big one!
