Carl is haunted by the memory of the dreadful ghostly beast, a large swift running creature with dragon like eyes who voices terrifying sounds. He vows to hunt down the mighty creature and get some answers to his questions. This book has three versions. The first version (Adventures of a Boy Named Carl) is the young adult/ teen version. The second version (Adventures of a Boy Named Carl - Alternative Version for Younger Kids) is altered in language to be more suitable for younger children but it tells the same exciting action packed story. This book (No Ordinary Animal) is very similar to the second version but it has none of the patois dialect found in the previous 2 versions. This was done so as to allow everyone to enjoy the story without any misunderstanding of the conversions. Like the other 2 versions, this is an action packed humorous story about a talking ghostly cow known as a rolling calf. This is an exciting must read.
