Description

Reimagining the Power Rangers: Shattered Grid comics crossover event, Battle for the Grid is an epic sidescrolling beat-'em-up. Battle for the Grid is a 3v3 tag fighter with a a four-button combat system reminiscent of Dragon Ball Fighters. For those who are coming for the Rangers rather than a deep love of 2D fighting, that basically means that every move boils down to use of a direction and a button, making it pretty easy to jump into, if not necessarily to master. While the fundamentals are crucial to success, they're balanced out by a more complicated tag system and a massive raft of special moves to spice up gameplay (the Mega Zord comeback moves are a special treat for any fan of the franchise). Thanks to the crossover-y bit of the storyline, the core game roster features fan favourites including Jason Lee Scott, Tommy Oliver, Gia Moran, Ranger Slayer, Magna Defender, Kat Manx, Mastodon Sentry, Goldar, Lord Drakkon, Cenozoic Blue Ranger, Udonna, Dragon Armor Trini, Trey of Triforia, Jen Scotts, Lord Zedd, and Lauren Shiba, with a number of the original cast offering their voices to the storyline. Online, you can get up to eight players together and crossplay between the Switch, PS4, PC and Xbox One helps players find other gamers at their level for Ranked, Casual, Direct or Lobby Matches.
