Description

Three more movie spin-offs of the animated series about the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy (voice of Mayumi Tanaka) and his Straw Hat pirate crew. In 'The Adventure of Dead End' (2003) Luffy and his crew get involved in a competition with a valuable reward for those who reach the finish line first. But there is a shady character behind this competition, an ex-military commander in fact, whose plan is to lure all the pirates drawn by the competition into military waters and destroy them. The Straw Hats will need all their skill and ingenuity to escape with their lives, and maybe even the reward. In 'The Cursed Holy Sword' (2004) the crew explore an island for a legendary sword of extreme value, but before they can make off with the loot there are marines, distractions and even betrayal to contend with. In 'Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island' (2005) the Straw Hats travel to a recreational island for some relaxation. But once there, not only are the crew asked to engage in competition to win their peace and quiet, but the island begins to have a mysterious effect on the pirates, turning them against one another.
