Description

Austrian documentary following the work of Stefan Knupfer, master piano tuner for Steinway and Sons, the Rolls-Royce of the piano industry. Among Knupfer's clients are internationally renowned pianists including Lang Lang, Alfred Brendel, Till Fellner and Julius Drake, all of whom appear in the film. Director Robert Cibis follows Knupfer as he embarks on an obsessive, painstaking, year-long mission to create the perfect instrument for Pierre-Laurent Aimard 's recording of Bach's unfinished masterpiece 'Art of Fugue'.
