Kaze and the Wild Masks is a sidescrolling platformer that calls back to the genre's mid-'90s heyday, when extreme precision and wildly inventive level design ruled the roost. You play as Kaze, an anthropomorphic rabbit who likes to fight evil. That includes the greatest evil of them all - sentient vegetables. They've wreaked havoc on her village, and now it's up to you to run, jump and fight your way through a series of tough levels to defeat them, picking up the odd collectible along the way. The twist on classic platforming comes in the form of a series of masks that enable Kaze to make use of the abilities of certain animals, such as a tiger mask that enables her to jump-dash and cling to walls (two things that tigers are famously good at). You'll need to be super accurate as you're leaping around, but the masks (alongside moves like a ground-pound and a glide mechanic) help you get into the flow that all great platformers have baked into their DNA.
