Plants introduces plant structure and function, with the emphasis on flowering plants and how they survive, grow and interact with other organisms in the wider environment. There is broad coverage of plant physiology and biochemistry, including photosynthesis, water relations, transport, mineral nutrition, growth and development, and plant-microbe interactions. There are two associated CD-ROM packages: Digital Microscope which teaches basic microscopy and histology, and Plant Gene Manipulation, which teaches the techniques of plant genetic engineering.
