This text on plants is designed to allow readers to develop their scientific knowledge through an experimental and investigative approach. It studies plants around the world and in the home, and covers such topics as: why we need plants; the parts of a flower - the stem, roots and leaves; deciduous and coniferous trees; seeds and seed dispersal; and the need for light and water.;Each double-page spread opens with an information page on the left, with a photograph and text introducing the key topic.
