'The Railwaymen' (1946) profiles all the various skills and jobs needed to run a railway system. 'Portrait of an Engineer' (1954) follows production engineer Ted Wilson around his factory, where steam locomotives are being built for export around the world. 'British Locomotives' (1959) shows the challenges faced by manufacturers after the demise of steam around the world and the switch to diesel and electric.
