Mark Herman writes and directs this British drama adapted from the novel by Jonathan Tulloch and set in Newcastle. Football fans Sewell (Greg McLane) and Gerry (Chris Beattie) dream of getting season tickets for Newcastle United, but with the former unemployed and the latter playing truant from school they are far from able to afford the necessary cash required. In an effort to improve their finances the pair go off drink and drugs, however, their savings are stolen by Gerry's violent father (Tim Healy). Meanwhile, an unlikely source for raising the money might just allow them to realise their dreams.
