Documentary about Russian feminist punk group Pussy Riot. Formed after the split of Russian anarchist art collective 'Voina', the Pussy Riot members have staged a number of situationist-style performances to make their point about issues including LGBT rights, feminism and the country's president Vladimir Putin. In an attempt to highlight the relationship between church and state in Russia, the group held an impromptu performance at Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Savior in February of 2012 for which they were put on trial facing charges of hooliganism. The trial, which led to the imprisonment of three of the goup's members, was recorded and streamed online, an act which has garnered support from a number of organisations throughout the world who believe the members have been unjustly treated.
