Since the inaugural race in 2003, the Red Bull Air Race has evolved into the global competition which has become the world famous Red Bull Air Race World Series. Starting from an initial eleven pilots and eight races in 2005, the 2007 season has seen the competition grow in scale and popularity with thirteen pilots taking to the skies in ten of the world's greatest cities. Flying low to the ground at speeds that can reach 400kph, while attempting difficult turning manoeuvres, requires immense skill that only a certain number of pilots in the world possess.
