He moved to Australia in 1985.;He has extensive consulting and training experience, with many large international companies. His research has been in databases, object-oriented technology, software engineering and the development of large-scale business information systems. He has authored close to 100 publications including the book Database Design and Implementation (Prentice Hall, 1990).
