Description

Short film based on the story by Anton Chekhov. The film features 'Fawlty Towers' stars John Cleese, Connie Booth and Andrew Sachs in their first roles together. Cleese plays a bassist who shows up early for the ball of a beautiful princess (Booth) and decides to go for a swim in a river while he waits. Unbeknownst to the bassist, the princess is doing exactly the same thing. When someone steals their clothes, the bass player attempts to transport the princess back to the castle in his bass case. On their way, they encounter many obstacles and discover they have feelings for each other.
