Myriam San Marco is a poet, promoter, creative writing facilitator and the current Bournemouth Poet Laureate. She is the former host of 'Spread the Verb' bi-monthly spoken word showcase and the Platform monthly open mic and co-hosted the Chocolate Poetry Club London as their Poet in Residence for 2 years. She is the writer in residence for the Badbury Rings Rewind 2016 and 2017 Festival. She founded Wordmakers and Silence Breakers last year, a collection of wandering wordsmiths, vagabonds verbalisers and rhyming rebels to work as workshop facilitators, bards, fools and muses in local festivals and one off events. The Wordmakers will be hosting a bi-monthly spoken word night from May 17 at Chaplin's Cellar Bar. Abe Gibson described her performance as 'cutting to draw blood'.
