Born and bred in Liverpool, brothers Eddy and Chris Amoo along with Dave Smith and Ray Lake formed one of the first soul-disco groups in Britain. With hit singles 'You to Me Are Everything' and 'Can't Get By Without You', the documentary shows how The Real Thing rose to fame, becoming known as 'the black Beatles'.
