Shutting up shop - John Londei

Shot over a 15 year period beginning in the 70s, Shutting Up Shop is a tribute to an era that has all but disappeared: the traditional small shops which have now almost all gone. Londei reveals - through photography and text - the stories of 60 UK shops and their shopkeepers. In 2004 Londei followed up on each shop and his findings are included in the fascinating afterword.
