This book looks at the life and work of Sir Matt Busby, one of the few great men produced by Britain's national game of football. A Scottish coal-miner's son, he created one of the most glorious and celebrated sporting institutions in the world. He built his first great team in the years after the war and immediately set about creating his second in the 1950s, the Busby Babes, composed of brilliant young players.
