This book is an illustrated guide to skin diseases seen in the early part of life. Although emphasis is on childhood disorders, it considers those disorders which may arise in childhood and adolescence, up to the mid–teens. Emphasis has been given to the more common cutaneous problems, but rarer congenital syndromes have been included, where important. There is a chapter on psychological issues, of particular importance in this age group. Every condition discussed is illustrated in colour, with emphasis on the clinical features, key physical signs and possible differential diagnosis. Advice is given on the management of each disorder and a glossary of common dermatological treatments appears at the end.
