The debut studio album by American thrash metal band, originally released in December 1983. The band self-financed their full-length debut, combining the savings of vocalist Tom Araya, who was employed as a respiratory therapist, and money borrowed from guitarist Kerry King's father. In honor of the album's 40th anniversary, this vinyl set includes; a gold black dust LP mastered for vinyl from the original master tapes by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony, slipmat, poster, flyers, signing card, and an LP booklet featuring the story of 'Show No Mercy', written by J. Bennett.
