Description

Wanted: Dead is a delightful throwback to the hack, slash and shoot games of the Xbox/PS2 era made by creators of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. You play as a cop in a cyberpunk future riddled with spider-tanks, katanas and way more criminals than a single cop ought to have to deal with, no matter how full her skill tree is. You're Hannah Stone, an officer in the Zombie Unit, an elite Hong Kong police squad trying to figure out (and bloodily dismantle) a major, not to mention shadowy, corporate conspiracy. You'll battle mercenaries, crims and private military contractors as you slice and shoot your way to the game's spectacular conclusion. It's tough stuff, and any wrong move could see you brutally mangled, so keep your wits about you. Wanted: Dead game achieves full marks for idiosyncrasy. When you're not slaughtering your foes, you'll spend time off doing things like karaoke (aka a rhythm game), facing your partner in a ramen-eating contest (another rhythm game, actually) and playing with one of those claw machines in a bid to win a cat. Then there are the cutscenes - some are fluid anime, and some are even live action. It's joyfully weird stuff that will have you cackling with glee.
