James Dunn and Jean Parker star in this 1940s comedy drama from director William Nigh. As sailor Mike Malon (Dunn) rushes back to his base before he is classed as AWOL, he meets up with young orphan Tommy (Martin Spellman) who, with his dog in tow, is hoping to find a mother and father. In order to hitchhike more easily Mike pretends to be Tommy's dad and together they catch a ride with Admiral's daughter Stevie Moore (Parker). Tommy wishes for Mike and Stevie to get together and become his parents but they are an unlikely match. Will he find the new family he has been looking for?
