The Laundry Bar Fitzroy. Pierre Baroni came up with the name and artwork and with other PBSFM announcers including Miss Goldie, Manchild, Mohair Slim and Richie 1250, a new benefit night for the community radio station was born. It became a flourishing and ongoing night of funk and soul over 2 floors. Featuring DJs, and eventually, live bands and special guests who were in town, it's a mainstay of the Melbourne music scene. A night of music for lovers of getting down and having a good time. More than 12 years later, the unofficial 'Soul-a-Go-Go' track is born, a song that gets down to Melbourne's 'champeen' funk and soul spinners.
