As children, they'd called themselves the Byker Chapter: six boys and a girl who'd grown up together on the back streets of Newcastle. Now, all Richard Eden has left is his memories - and one special photograph. Suddenly, impossibly, one by one the images in the photograph begin to fade as if his friends had never existed. Something is stalking the Chapter - closing in and killing them hideously. Some spectre from the past, some horror they have released, is hunting them down. They can run, but this time there is nowhere they can hide . . .
