"Splinters" is an adult, fantasy/thriller. Its concept tells of how memories of the dead affect the lives of the living after being returned to Earth via a bolt of lightning, which strikes the Great Oak tree. It's about the faith of one man, Michael Jobson, and follows the life of Esther (the most beautiful girl in the world, inside and out) as she grows up in a world of conflicting values. After fame and fortune has come easily to Esther, Fate turns against her in what seems, to her, to be a never-ending series of tragedies. Confused, and having dreams that she doesn't understand, Esther's indomitable spirit,and the love of husband, Ricky, are her support. But events in far away places and situations she has no control over lead her to her destiny. A saga of true love, greed, murder and retribution unfolds. Few anticipated a situation where, only fifty years after the end of the Second World War, mankind would be on the verge of Armageddon as jealousy and righteous indignation lead to terrorism.
