Description

Ten feature-length episodes of the popular sci-fi drama series. Most of these episodes were broadcast in two parts as bridging stories between each of the seven series. 'Encounter at Farpoint' is the pilot episode and sees the Enterprise crew put on trial as representatives of the entire human race by the mysterious, godlike 'Q' (John de Lancie). In 'The Best of Both Worlds' the unstoppable Borg, a race of soulless cyborgs, abduct Picard (Patrick Stewart) and assimilate him into their Collective. 'Redemption' sees Klingon officer Worf (Michael Dorn) forced to choose between the Federation and his own race as a civil war threatens to tear the Klingon Empire apart. Spock (Leonard Nimoy), from the original series, mediates with the Romulans in 'Unification' to avoid a war. In 'Time's Arrow' an archaelogical dig on earth finds the buried head of android officer Data (Brent Spiner) dating back to the 1880s, and the crew travel back in time to investigate. 'Chain of Command' sees Picard captured and tortured by the Cardassians while on a top-secret mission. In 'Birthright' Worf tries to save his father from a Romulan prison camp, only to be captured himself. 'Descent' sees the return of the Borg, who manipulate Data to try and capture the Enterprise. In 'Gambit' the crew learns of Picard's death, only for Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to discover that he is alive and well and working undercover. Finally 'All Good Things' concludes the entire series, and sees Picard reacquainted with Q as he negotiates his way through three different periods of time to ensure the survival of the human race.
