Stephanie Ann Lloyd was born Keith Michael Hull in 1946. He married and fathered three children, but after years of marriage, his growing conviction that he should have been born a woman drove him to attempted suicide. He then decided to become Stephanie. It cost him his wife, his children, his friends and his job as a company executive.;Abandoned and unemployable, Stephanie spent a long period as a prostitute before earning enough to set herself up in business.
