Description

Marc Minkowski conducts the La Monnaie Chamber Orchestra and Chorus in this rendition of Verdi's opera. The Count Di Luna (Scott Hendricks) still harbours hopes that his younger brother may be alive, despite the fact that he has been missing and presumed dead for a number of years. When the Count sets out to court the beautiful Leonora (Marina Poplavskaya), he is enraged to learn that she already has a lover - the troubadour, Manrico (Misha Didyk). The Count challenges Manrico to a duel, but will the rivals discover unexpected common ground when they meet face-to-face?
