Five more episodes of the second BBC drama following women prisoners-of-war during the Second World War. In the first episode it is revealed that Joss is actually Lady Jocelyn and some old camp mates are brought back. In the second episode Christina hopes the guards will be distracted by the Emperor's birthday so that Rose can secretly meet Bernard, whilst in the third episode the camp suffers because of the failure of this rendezvous. Dorothy learns that her friend, Shinya, shot Rose in the fourth episode and, in the final episode Yamauchi collapses leading to Christina discovering a Red Cross letter about aid parcels.
