Description

Documentary recounting the fate of the 16 teams that made it to the 1962 World Cup Finals in Chile. This programme includes highlights from the tournament such as the host country managing to reach the semi-final and outstanding performances from players including the Brazilians,

Amarildo and Garrincha, and the Czechoslovakia goal keeper ,Viliam Schrojf. Also included is footage from the heated match between Chile and Italy in the first round, dubbed the 'Battle of Santiago', which typified the tense atmosphere that existed at the finals due to the use of defensive and sometimes violent tactics.
