Documentary continuing the story of a young boy growing up in a war-torn Afghanistan over the course of ten years. From the age of eight to 18, Mir, who was first seen in 'The Boy who Plays On the Buddhas of Bamiyan' (2004), is followed in his everyday life as he attends school, goes to work and, along with his family, struggles to survive a life of poverty. The film captures the Afghan culture and demonstrates the impact of war on Mir and his community.
