Description

Thriller set during the Cold War following top scientist John Hathaway (Gregory Peck) who is sent on a dangerous mission to Communist China. When the American Embassy learns of a special enzyme being developed in China they enlist Hathaway to retrieve the formula. The enzyme, which is being worked on by Hathaway's former mentor, Professor Soong Li (Keye Luke), allows crops to prosper no matter the climate and would consequently enable its possessor to have control over countries around the world. Little does Hathaway know that the transmittor that has been inserted into his brain is also an explosive device which can be detonated should the operation fail...
