Description

Patricia Hodge and James Fox star in this BBC political drama. In 1982, Margaret Thatcher's government sent British forces to war to regain the Falkland Islands from occupying Argentinean troops. Four years later, the BBC commissioned a play on the conflict, only for playwright Ian Curteis's work to be shelved, the BBC claiming it had been deferred because of the imminent General Election. Twenty years later, the play was finally produced: an account of how Margaret Thatcher and her government faced the biggest crisis in foreign affairs for a generation.
