BBC romantic drama written by Richard Curtis and starring Bill Nighy and Kelly MacDonald. Lawrence (Nighy) is a middle-aged civil servant who meets a mysterious young girl called Gina (Macdonald) in a caf� near Downing Street. As the mismatched couple start to fall in love, Lawrence invites Gina to the G8 summit meeting in Reykjavik, where he is joining the British delegation. While the politicians argue, the central goals of eliminating global poverty are sidelined, and Lawrence and Gina find their relationship becoming intertwined with the progress of the summit.
