Four archive documentary films exploring the extensive use of Clydesdale horses on farms across the country, in the days before mechanisation. 'Spring in Galloway', a film from the 1930s, explores life on a Borders farm during the spring season. 'The Good Servant' (1958) tells the story of Clydesdale horses and the many tasks they perform on the farm. 'Spring in the Fields' (1936) shows Clydesdales hard at work ploughing during the planting season. Finally, 'Champions in the Sun' (1964) is a record of the Clydesdale and other breeds in competition at the Royal Highland Show.
