Trio of horror films. In 'The Hitcher' (2007), a remake of the 1986 cult horror classic, Jim Halsey and Grace Andrews (Zachary Knighton and Sophia Bush) are a young couple on a road trip across country who decide to help a hitchhiker, John Ryder (Sean Bean), caught in a downpour. Unfortunately, the hitcher turns out to be a crazed killer intent on murdering the couple. After finally managing to shed their assailant, the pair discover that Ryder has committed more murders and framed them for the crimes. Now prime suspects in a murder hunt, the couple are forced to track down Ryder in an effort to clear their names. In 'Vacancy' (2007), for young couple Amy and David Fox (Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson), a long day bickering in their car suddenly gets much worse when they break down in the middle of nowhere. Luckily for them they find a motel and settle down to watch some TV. Concerns arise when they discover the 'snuff' movies the motel thoughtfully supply for their guests seem vaguely familiar and alarmingly genuine. Discovering hidden cameras, they realise that they are about to star in the performance of their lives, or rather the end of their lives, unless they can somehow escape. Finally, in 'The Marsh' (2006), a
young, beautiful but stressed-out children's writer (Gabrielle Anwar) seeks out a holiday in the country, but becomes the lead character in a supernatural mystery she must solve in order to save her own life.
